On the 26th March 1976, 48 years ago, an album was released by Thin Lizzy that proved to be the band's commercial breakthrough in the US of A, and the only Thin Lizzy album with a certification in that country. That album was Jailbreak and provided the band with 2 chart topping hit singles, the title track 'Jailbreak' and The Boys Are Back in Town which gave them their biggest US hit, and won the 1976 NME Award for Best Single.
